转译是指商务英语翻译中语言的词性和表现形式的改变。由于英语和汉语的表达习惯和句子结构的不同,在翻译中往往难以做到词性和表现方法的一致。为了适应译文语言的表达习惯和语法规则,在商务英语翻译中必须运用词类和表现方法的转换技巧。

词性的转换

如:Please let US know if our terms are 请告知是否接受我方条款。(形容词acceptable转类为动词)

句型的转换

如:We have to make it sure that the remittance of commission made as such is not against local 我们得确保这样汇付佣金不违反当地规定。

四、顺序译法

有些英语语句叙述的一连串动作按发生的时间先后安排,或按逻辑关系安排,与汉语的表达方式比较一致,可按原文顺序译出。

例:In international buying and selling of goods, there are a number of risks, which, if they occur, will involve traders in financial 【分析】

按意群的关系,该句可以拆分为四部分:In international buying and selling of goods/there are a number of risks/if they occur/which will involve traders in financial 原文各句的逻辑关系,表达次序与汉语基本一致,因此可以按原文译出。参考译文:(在)国际贸易货物的买卖(中)存在着各种各样的风险,这些风险的发生将会给(有关的)商人们带来经济损失。

五、逆序译法

“逆序译法”又称“倒置译法”,主要指句子的前后倒置问题。有些英语语句的表达次序与汉语习惯不同,甚至语序完全相反,这是因为汉语在叙述动作时一般按照动作发生的先后顺序排列,而英语在叙述动作时,更多的是使用各种语法手段将动作的先后顺序打乱。这就要求我们必须从原文的后面泽起,逆着原文的顺序翻译。

例:Unless you are prepared to eat in silence you have to talk about something--something,that is,other than the business deal which you are continually chewing over in your

六、术语精确

商务翻译中有许多涉及经济、贸易、法律等方面的专业术语。要精确传达原文的信息,使读者准确理解原文,译者必须使用标准的,对等的专业术语,如果不全面了解这些术语,在翻译中会不够地道,甚至让人不知所云。例如:

七、语气恰当

在商务活动中,礼貌原则是非常重要的。在商务交往及商务文本中,双方都尽量措辞严谨,语气温和。在商务活动中,中西方都有一些固定的表达方式可以使商务文本严肃可信。这种情况下,译者可以在准确传达原意的基础上,采取归化翻译手段使译文更易于接受。

商务英语证书(BEC)考试近年来被各类涉外企业、部门用来作为招收职员时英语能力的证明;同时也是商务工作人员或英语学习者检验、提高英语水平的方式。由于很多即将进入职场的学生或已工作的青年把该证书作为就业、求职的重要砝码,因此BEC考试也被称为“商务求职通行证”。

自20XX年5月BEC考试采用新题型以来,BEC Vantage阅读与BEC Higher阅读相比,只是少了单词填空这一部分,其余题型完全一致。然而要求在1小时内做完6部分共50多题并获得高分,难度就很高。

搭配题:抓住中心和基本点 5篇100字左右的小短文,8个选项,选择出各个选项属于哪篇短文论述的内容。

这部分主要是考查考生迅速找出短文Main Idea的能力。正确的做题方法是先读提示第一句,把握5篇短文共同论述的大致范围。然后直接阅读短文。阅读的时候,用笔在考卷上划出“一个中心,两个基本点”。“一个中心”指短文的中心思想Main Idea。“两个基本点”是除Main Idea以外重要的、十分特殊的论点。从5篇短文中找出15个左右的考点,解题的速度可大大提高。

句子填空题:弄清逻辑上的衔接

这部分对我国考生而言有很高的难度,因为它考查了中国人说话写文章最缺少严密的逻辑性。西文,尤其是商务文章极其讲究逻辑的缜密性,中心思想明确,意群(段)之间有清晰的逻辑关系,句与句之间紧密相连。知道了这样的思维差异,在解题时便有了方向:通过各种衔接手段来解题。词汇的衔接、语法的衔接,最重要的是逻辑上的衔接。其实,任何两句话之间的逻辑关系不外乎两种情况:不是顺着意思讲下去(顺接)就是意思发生了转折(逆接)。判断空格前后句之间的顺逆接关系,再寻找正确的选项解题就容易多了。平时考生在做阅读训练的时候要特别注意句子之间的逻辑关系。

阅读理解题:跳跃式阅读

这部分其实是前两部分的综合。在读文章时只需抓住文章和各段的Main Idea即可,有较强阅读能力的考生尽可能地快速读出句子之间的逻辑关系,而细节内容一律略去。用这种“跳跃式阅读法”效果很好。解题时,学生要放松心态,因为题目不难,只是在做一个“定位+同义词、近义词”游戏罢了。值得注意的是这部分与四六级及考研阅读理解题不同,BEC阅读理解题目不能过细地去推敲,正确选项一般都是原句+改写。

完型填空题:习惯用法结合语境

考点词汇一般不是商务术语,是四级以下的普通词汇。大多题目较容易,有个别题目较难。学生应该从搭配、习惯用法结合语境的方法解题。不过,想在此部分得满分是极难的。考生不要轻信自己的语感,这种感觉可能是错觉,真正的语感是以长期积累的实力为基础的。语法题:牢记BEC知识点没有必要去把语法知识详细完全地进行复习,而只需将BEC经常考核的知识点简要地总结并牢记在大脑里就可以了。BEC语法题历年考试所涉及的语法点十分有限。“名称记不清,记忆像猩猩”--牢记住考点语法名称,完全可以在这两部分获得满分。


bec商务英语中级阅读答案 第12篇

《Buffet Zone》,自助餐区域,在这篇文章里的意思应该是自助餐领域,讲的是一个在自助餐领域取得了惊人成绩的杰出女性创业的故事。这套题目不难,尤其比起第四辑的题目。文章本身有很清晰的故事发展脉络,选项和原文的对应也比较明显。文章的几个段落是按照时间先后、故事发生的先后进行的,很明确。第一段是总括,第二段是讲的创业起步阶段的一些困难以及应对困难的对策,第三段是公司好转后的办公室重置(relocation),第四、五段是公司的竞争情况,最后一段总结。

第八题,前面说一时冲动她买下了这个外卖餐馆(takeaway),事实上那个时候她对餐饮业一无所知。空格后面说的是这段时间很困难,但是对获得所需要的经验却是很有必要的。所以第八题的空格部分应该填入跟学习、积累经验有关的内容。D选型最吻合,It was a dramatic learning curve,这里的learning是关键词,很明显的答案信号。还有very small amounts of money were earned at first,at first也是关键词。

第九题,空格前面说large numbers of office workers wanting takeaway food for their lunches,大量的办公室员工需要外卖食品做午饭,这里的wanting是个很关键的词。空格后面话锋一转,说曾经一度5公里内有26家食品商店,但是经济转变了,一条街都空了(blocks started to become vacant)。从上下文来分析,第九空的内容应该和办公室员工的外卖需求有关,同时带有转折意思。C选项完全符合这一条件:但是这种需求是短暂的,不久,逐渐增长的竞争使得赢得利润变得更加困难。

第十题,上文说经济形势转变了,所以Robertson决定从事多样化的经营。后面说这种做法永远的改变了公司的经营方式。所以第十空应该填入相应的对策,怎么样来应对经济形势的转变。符合这一条件的是B和E,都是关于解决问题的,但是B选项所说的招募竞争对手的餐厅经理在上下文内容中没有提到。应该选D,为商业大厦送饭,正好对应下一段所说的。

第十一题,这一题才应该选B,前面说竞争对手给自己造成了很大的困扰。但是Robertson却不是那么容易屈服的人。后面说部分原因是这个,营业额翻倍了。所以中间应该也是填入对策。和竞争对手有关的,应该选B,B的particular是个关键词,rival company也很明显。

第十二题,前面说Robertson想收购一个竞争对手,但是没成功,结果人家公司自己破产倒闭了。后面来了一个many accepted,可以看出这中间应该填入的是人家公司破产后Robertson的一些举措。F满足这一条件:一听到这些,Robertson马上联系他们的客户并且提供了自己公司的服务。
